Ethyl Acetate 99.5%: Water and Acidity Limits Explained
Water and acidity, not the assay figure, decide whether 99.5% holds up on a coating or ink line. Which tests to run first.

Four things move the price of 99.5% ethyl acetate: feedstock, freight, packing and batch size. The grade itself is the most stable item on the invoice.
Packing changes the landed cost more than buyers expect. Drums add handling and deposits, IBCs cut handling per tonne, and an ISO tank spreads freight across the largest volume, but only where the return leg works.
Timing matters in both directions. Feedstock cycles and vessel schedules compress lead times in peak season, so orders placed late pay for space rather than for solvent.
The practical rule is to lock monthly volume on the grades the line always runs and buy the rest against confirmed vessels. That split keeps stock costs low without exposing production to the freight market.
